The Birds We Sell

Here at The Haslemere Pet Company, we do not believe in keeping a large range of birds in stock. Like so may of you, we hate to see lots of birds crammed into small cages. Therefore, we only keep a small number of birds in stock.

However, we do have contacts with reputable local breeders of budgies, cockatiels, canaries, zebra finches and diamond doves, from who we can order as required should they have young stock available.

What About Parrots?

We always ensure that the birds which we supply are going to knowledgeable and experienced homes, but we take extra care when it comes to Parrots.

If you have always thought about a pet parrot, please keep in mind that such pets are every bit as time-consuming as dog or cat.

Parrots can live several times longer then a dog and can become deeply emotionally attached to a single person.

If you are sure a parrot is for you, we can obtain hand-reared birds which will make good pets. About 20 species are usually available.

Please note that we reserve the right to refuse sale if we feel that you do not fully understand how to care for your chosen pet!

Wild Bird Care

We also stock a wide range of Wild Bird Seed, Fat Blocks, Fat Balls and Feeders to keep our garden visitors healthy through out the year. We also provide a wide range of loose seeds in our bulk department, so you can buy as little or as much as you like.

Prices start at just £1.10 for 1kg of standard wild bird seed, and our value range of feeders start at just £2.99 each, so everyone can help our environment by feeding the birds.

Oh, and keep and eye on our Seasonal Wild Bird Food bulk bin, as we adjust the mix every few months in order to suit the birds in your garden right now.
